Siberian Eagle owl: ink and watercolour on paper, mouted on a cradle board and waxed
I discovered cola pens online, being made and used by calligraphers. But why not use them for drawing I mused? With black Indian ink, and combined with washes of watercolour, they are perfect to capture the dynamic energy of this eagle owl.
But I did not want to hide it under glass, so I have mounted it on a wooden cradle board and finished it with a soft art wax to create a deep sheen.
