Peregrine: ink and watercolour on paper
What drew me to this was the utter look of intent on the bird’s face. Peregrines are making a comeback, particularly in our towns, where it nests on tall buildings – you need to concentrate coming in to land. This speedy flyer was drawn with a cola dip pen and Indian ink, before washes of watercolour were added to breath lift into its wings.
