Pheasants are not native to the UK and were introduced by the Romans. They can fly up to 60 mph when chased, but prefer to run. They do not migrate, typically staying within a 1-2 mile radius which sadly makes them the ideal game bird.
This painting is one of a collection of three small pieces while I was exploring the use of texture and pattern in my art practice. If you would like to buy multiple pieces, do contact me and I am sure I can offer a small discount. Painting a few helped me discover that the collective noun for a group of pheasants is a bouquet of pheasants – isn’t that a wonderful description?
Buy with confidence
I know that buying a painting which will be with you for years, is a considered decision and it can be hard if you have not seen the piece in person. I want you to be delighted with your painting and for it to bring you a smile and inject energy into your day for years to come.
Photographing gold in particular can be tricky because of reflections, so please take this into account.
If you live locally, I am happy for you to visit my studio to see it in person, or to try it in your home for a few days. If you purchase it and I ship it to you, and you are not happy when it arrives (to be fair, most people say paintings are even better in the flesh!), then as long as you return it to me undamaged I will refund you the price of the painting (you will need to pay shipping and let me know within a week).
I hope this allows you to buy with confidence.
Shipping
I am happy to ship both within the UK and outside. If you do not live in the UK please get in touch so I can give you a shipping cost. Please note that there may be import duties or taxes applicable in your country (there aren’t in the USA, Canada or Australia on original art), but I will check those for you wherever possible.
