Work on wood
Birch wood panels make a lovely alternative to traditional paper or even canvas, for presenting watercolours and offers you the opportunity to enjoy your paintings without glass and a mount in the way.
Paintings on paper can be adhered to a panel and then finished using a cold wax medium, which not only protects the painting but enhances the colour. This finish has a lovely satin sheen and a warmth and depth which is gorgeous in your home.
Alternatively painting directly on the wood, allows the grain to shine through bringing a new dimension to the piece.
