If you are running the workshop programme for an art society and are interested in a bespoke workshop, please contact me to discuss. In general, I only undertake tuition within an hour or so from home (I live close to Twyford in Berkshire), as a longer journey makes the day too long and overnight accommodation adds considerably to your cost. I am currently charging in the region of £350 plus travel and material costs, depending on what you are looking for.

Please note, I do not particularly enjoy giving demonstrations, much preferring to work with other artists to help them in a hands on way. Therefore, I say no to all requests for demonstrations. Of course, I demonstrate techniques in a workshop setting.
One to one tuition
I have been approached by a number of students about one-to-one tuition and this is certainly possible. If you can not find a suitable date or subject in my open access workshops here: https://lizchaderton.co.uk/workshops-2025/ we might be able to arrange something bespoke for you and potentially a few arty friends. The charge is £350 per day (minimum of half a day) plus materials. I have a nice airy conservatory, which is an ideal spot for a day of painting and tuition. I live near Twyford in Berkshire and there is plenty of parking. I can comfortably accommodate three students, without anyone being crowded. So if you wish to have individual tuition or have arty friends it might be possible to design a one off day for you on a subject of your choosing. Please get in touch and we can look at subjects and dates. If you look at the bottom of this page, there are plenty of ideas for subjects to get you thinking. Of course, if you have ideas of your own please discuss them with me.
Alternatively, have you thought about learning online? I have a number of pre-recorded workshops and courses available at www.lizchadertonstudio.co.uk which will allow you to study at your own pace. You have lifetime access so you can repeat modules as many times as you desire. These are an effective and enjoyable way of learning, which enables students from around the world to benefit.
Webinars
I have run several series of webinars for The Artist and The Leisure Painter magazines, which seem to have been pretty popular. In the past I have run online workshops for ShopKeepArty and I have done demonstrations for a number of American art societies, alongside being a tutor on Sktchy’s famous 30 faces in 30 days challenge. I also did demonstrations at Patching Art Festival in 2024, representing the products of several leading manufacturers. My weekly YouTube films are watched by thousands of artists around the world. I am experienced at this type of presentation and as we have super fast broadband, there are no issues with connectivity. If you are interested in me running a Zoom type event for you, please get in contact. We would need to take time differences into account to see if this is practical.
